Note on the responsible entity

The data controller for this website is:

The controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, e-mail addresses or similar).

Revocation of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your explicit consent. You can revoke consent you have already given at any time. All you need to do is send us an informal message by e-mail. The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right of appeal to the competent supervisory authority

In the event of violations of data protection law, the data subject has a right of appeal to the competent supervisory authority. The competent supervisory authority in matters of data protection law is the State Data Protection Commissioner of the federal state in which our company is based. The right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.

SSL or TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses an SSL or SSL protocol. TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Information, blocking, deletion

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient and the purpose of the data processing and, if applicable, a right to correction, blocking or deletion of this data. You can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint for this purpose and for further questions on the subject of personal data.

Objection to advertising e-mails

The use of contact data published within the framework of the imprint obligation for the transmission of advertising and information material not expressly requested is herewith objected to. The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, for example by spam e-mails.

2. data collection on our website
Cookies

The internet pages partly use so-called cookies. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies are used to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your terminal device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or generally and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions that you have requested (e.g. shopping basket function) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO saved. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. Insofar as other cookies (e.g. cookies to analyse your surfing behaviour) are stored, these are dealt with separately in this data protection declaration.

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP-Adress

This data is not merged with other data sources.

The basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO, which permits the processing of data for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures.

3. newsletter
MailChimp

This website uses the services of MailChimp for sending newsletters. The provider is Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.

MailChimp is a service with which, among other things, the sending of newsletters can be organised and analysed. If you enter data for the purpose of receiving the newsletter (e.g. email address), this will be stored on MailChimp’s servers in the USA.

MailChimp has a certification according to the “EU-US Privacy Shield”. The “Privacy Shield” is an agreement between the European Union (EU) and the USA to ensure compliance with European data protection standards in the USA.

With the help of MailChimp we can analyse our newsletter campaigns. When you open an email sent with MailChimp, a file contained in the email (so-called web beacon) connects to MailChimp’s servers in the USA. This makes it possible to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links, if any, have been clicked on. In addition, technical information is collected (e.g. time of retrieval, IP address, browser type and operating system). This information cannot be assigned to the respective newsletter recipient. They are used exclusively for the statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses can be used to better adapt future newsletters to the interests of the recipients.

If you do not want any analysis by MailChimp, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. We provide a link for this in every newsletter message. Furthermore, you can also unsubscribe from the newsletter directly on the website.

The data processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO). You can revoke this consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. The lawfulness of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you provide us with for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from our servers as well as from the servers of MailChimp after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Data stored by us for other purposes (e.g. e-mail addresses for the members’ area) remain unaffected by this.

For more details, please refer to MailChimp’s privacy policy at: https://mailchimp.com/legal/terms/.

Conclusion of a data processing agreement

We have concluded a so-called “Data Processing Agreement” with MailChimp, in which we oblige MailChimp to protect our customers’ data and not to pass it on to third parties. This contract can be viewed at the following link: https://mailchimp.com/legal/forms/data-processing-agreement/sample-agreement/.

This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (www.google.com), for website analysis purposes. This serves to protect our legitimate interests in the optimised presentation of our offers, which outweigh our interests in the context of a balancing of interests. Google (Universal) Analytics uses methods, such as cookies, which enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information automatically collected by cookies about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. As IP anonymisation is activated on this website, the IP address is shortened before transmission within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The anonymised IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not associated with any other data held by Google.

Google LLC is headquartered in the USA and is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield. You can view the current certificate here. Based on this agreement between the US and the European Commission, the European Commission has recognised Privacy Shield certified companies as those that ensure an adequate level of data protection.

You can prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (incl. your IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

As an alternative to the browser plugin, you can also click on this link to prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics on this website in the future. In the process, an opt-out cookie is stored on your terminal device. If you delete your cookies, you must click the link again.

Use of social network plugins from Facebook & Instagram

Our website uses so-called social network plugins (“plugins”).

When you access a page of our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection with the servers of Facebook, Google, Twitter or Instagram. The content of the plugin is then transmitted directly to your browser by the respective provider and integrated into the page you call up. This provides the providers with the information that you have accessed the page of our website in your browser, even if you do not have an account with the respective provider or are not currently logged in. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted by your browser directly to the server of the respective provider (which may be located in the USA) and stored there. If you are logged into your social network account, the providers can directly assign your visit to our website to your social network account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the “Like” or “Share” button, this information is also transmitted directly to the provider’s server and stored there. In addition, the information is published on the social network page and can be viewed by your contacts. This serves to protect our legitimate interests in the optimal marketing of our website.

For the purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by the providers, as well as your rights in this respect and setting options for better protection of your privacy, please refer to the data protection declarations of the providers:

Facebook: https://en-gb.facebook.com/policy.php

Instagram: https://help.instagram.com/519522125107875

If you do not want the social networks to assign the data collected via our website directly to your account with the social network, you must log out of the respective account before visiting our website. You can also use add-ons for your browser, e.g. the script blocker “NoScript” (http://noscript.net/), to prevent plug-ins.
